We verify educational background and professional experience when onboarding translators. A translator claiming financial expertise needs to show prior work with financial content and, for senior roles, a finance-related degree or equivalent professional qualification. We do not rely on self-reported specializations.
For new technical or scientific projects, we build a project-specific glossary before translation begins, ideally with input from the client. For ongoing clients, we maintain and update a shared translation memory that carries consistent terminology across all projects.
Yes. Our 12-Hour Rush add-on is available for projects up to 3,000 words with sufficient specialist availability. For larger urgent projects, we may bring in additional reviewers to meet the timeline. We are honest about what is and is not achievable -- we will not promise a deadline we cannot keep.
Not as a standard practice. For high-volume, low-complexity content where the client explicitly wants MTPE (machine translation with human post-editing), we can discuss this and price it separately. We will never submit MTPE as full human translation or apply it to technical, legal, financial, or literary content without explicit client agreement.
Our active specialist pairs include French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Greek, and Romanian. Contact us for language pairs not listed -- specialist availability varies by language and domain.
Literary translation is priced per project rather than purely per word, because the work involved does not scale linearly with word count. A complex poetry translation takes more time per word than general prose. We assess the difficulty of the source text and provide a fixed project quote.
Sworn translator certificates are available as an add-on for documents requiring official certification (immigration, legal, academic). We work with sworn translators registered with relevant authorities. Note that sworn translation requirements vary by jurisdiction -- let us know where the document will be submitted.
Full refund if cancelled within 24 hours before work starts. Partial refund schedule once translation is underway. If delivered work contains substantive errors relative to the agreed scope, we correct them at no charge within 10 business days. Full policy details on the Refund Policy page.
