Academic translation is one of the least tolerant domains for stylistic carelessness. Peer reviewers and academic readers are sensitive to language that sounds like it was translated, or like it does not follow the writing conventions of the discipline. A well-translated paper reads as if it was written in the target language by someone fluent in the academic register of that field.

Our academic translators hold advanced degrees and have experience with academic writing in both the source and target languages. Many are active researchers or have published in their fields. They understand disciplinary conventions: how arguments are structured in a German philosophy paper, how methods are described in a French clinical study, how theoretical frameworks are referenced in Italian social science.

For journal article translation, we are familiar with the submission requirements and style conventions of major journals in medicine, natural sciences, social sciences, law, and humanities. If you are translating for a specific journal, tell us the journal name and we will review the author guidelines before beginning.

Citation formatting is preserved in the original style (APA, MLA, Chicago, Vancouver, etc.) and handled consistently throughout the document. If the target journal requires a different citation format, we discuss this before starting.
